Sustainability
Driving sustainability, as manufacturer of the world's most energy-efficient hot-holding units
Our commitment to achieving Net Carbon Zero by 2030 means enhancing the sustainability of our whole business, combining innovative solutions to reduce carbon and energy expenditure.
Even though our award-winning equipment and expertise has led us to creating the industry’s most sustainable hot-holding products, there’s still more we can do. We’re passionate about protecting the environment and are aiming for greater ways to reduce energy consumption in the same way we’ve reduced the energy needed to make and serve hot food.
We are all-electric
Flexeserve is now an operation solely powered by electricity. We’ve worked tirelessly to remove our reliance on gas throughout the business and, as of 2024, we’ve been able to fully achieve this.
To begin this journey, we removed gas usage from our testing and development kitchen, as well as our manufacturing processes. We were then able to update our heating and hot water system to run only on electricity.
This desire to be all-electric has also extended to our fleet of vehicles. The entire fleet now comprises either electric or plugin electric hybrid vehicles, all of which are ULEZ compliant. The hybrid vehicles will then be replaced with fully electric models in the near future to finalise the all-electric fleet.
Going forward, we intend to further improve our sustainability measures by implementing solar panels across our Global HQ’s estate, as well as tracking any carbon usage to ensure we are doing all we can to offset it.
Removing plastics
We quantify, monitor and control the environmental impact of our operations, including preventing pollution and making specific commitments relevant to our organisation.
As part of this, we now only send UK deliveries to you using 100% reusable shipping materials. Meanwhile, all export deliveries are shipped on wooden pallets with recyclable cardboard sleeves.

Partnering for a greener future
We are excited to be working alongside The University of Leicester’s School of Business in the creation of a digital suite of resources, toolkits and other materials to help local businesses reduce their carbon footprint.
The Greener Future Project explores how local organisations can collaborate to accelerate climate action together. By developing a decarbonization pathway plan, we can all discover a way to net zero emissions.
